ADOPTION POLICY

  1. Daydream Rabbits is a closed rabbitry, which means that we do not allow the public access to the rabbitry for the health and safety of our rabbits. We do, however, allow you to visit our farm to meet any potential rabbits you are interested in.

  2. You are expected to do your own research to determine if a rabbit is a good pet for you or your family. Unlike other small pets, a rabbit is a long-term commitment. Many rabbits will live up to 12 years with proper care.

  3. Daydream Rabbits does not offer delivery at this time.

  4. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an adoption at ANY time for ANY reason.

  5. Rabbits will not be held until a deposit has been received. Deposits are non-refundable.

  6. We will not allow anyone under the age of 18 to adopt a rabbit unless accompanied by a legal guardian.

  7. Rabbits are not able to leave our care until at least 8 weeks of age.

  8. Rabbits must be picked up within one week of purchase unless arrangements are made prior to purchase.

  9. You are required to bring your own box or carrier for pick up.

  10. All rabbits come with a care sheet and a bag of transition feed.

  11.  If, for any reason, you are no longer able to keep your rabbit, we will take the rabbit back and find a new home for it. Any supplies you have purchased for the rabbit may be donated to this cause. Refunds will not be given in these situations.

  12. Pedigrees will be sent electronically and not until the purchase is final. We will use the name you choose for your rabbit on the pedigree.  However, the prefix DDR (for Daydream Rabbits) before the name is required. Changing this is prohibited. Example: DDR Bowie.

  13. We do not guarantee show quality or reproductive ability.

  14. We do our best to sex our bunnies accurately. However, with young bunnies, even the most experienced breeders can it is easy to mistake sexes. We offer no guarantee as to the sex of your rabbit.

  15. Our rabbits are handled from birth and are raised to have gentle temperaments. However, we cannot guarantee that a rabbit will never bite or scratch.

  16. We do not knowingly sell any sick rabbits. Our rabbits are healthy to the best of our knowledge when they leave us. We are not responsible for their health after adoption and cannot be held responsible for any veterinary costs incurred.
